Description
This course is designed to provide an understanding of the Confined Space Regulations 1997, providing delegates with basic information regarding safe work in confined spaces.

- Have an understanding of the Regulations and Legal Obligations
- Demonstrate knowledge and practical application

- What are the Dangers from Confined Spaces?
- Avoiding Entry
- Safe Systems of Work
- Emergency Procedures and Rescue
- Risk Assessment
- Use of a permit to work
- Use of gas detection equipment
- Use of escape breathing apparatus
- Use of personal protection and safety equipment, tripod, winch, harness and safety lines
- Monthly maintenance checks
- Methods of communications
- Personal hygiene
- Emergency and rescue procedures
Please Note:
Some prior knowledge of the topic is required.
Delegates should attend a refresher course every 3 years.
This course does not include full BA but can include Emergency Rescue Sets.
