Site Managers/Supervisors Course
The aim of the course is to provide managers with a detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation applicable to the construction industry and assist in establishing and maintaining good Health & Safety practice.
By the end of the course, the delegates will be able to:
- Identify the main causes of accidents in construction and realise their cost and effects.
- State the main requirements of the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974.
- List basic requirements of the following legislation:
- Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007
- Working at Height Regulations 2005
- Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999
- Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998
- Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
- Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992
- Risk Assessment Principles
- Reporting of Injuries, Diseases & Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995
The training course is suitable for those progressing to assistant site manager or as a refresher for site managers, and will promote better understanding and recognition of Health & Safety requirements when returning to a working environment.
