Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)

General Description:

Many companies and their employees are unaware of the implications of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002.

This course has been designed to enable delegates to understand these regulations, their responsibilities, recent developments and the training that is required for appropriate people.

Course Objectives:

Demonstrate an appreciation of COSHH Regulations and the legal requirements to assess the health risks from hazardous substances in the Work Place.

  • Give a greater awareness of substances that can cause ill effects in the workplace
  • Understand HSE Guidance “COSHH Essentials”
  • Understand dealing with Toxicity, Exposure and Control measures required.
  • Understand Storage, action to take with spillages, and dealing with emergencies.
  • Courses are tailored to your Requirements and can be delivered as “In House” Training

Training:

The training consists of presentations theory questions and completion of a COSHH report.
