This course is designed for novice or semi skilled operators who may have a change in their working conditions or have not operated lorry mounted crane’s. The course will give them an understanding of the engineering principles and safe operational practice of lorry mounted crane’s. Delegates will also learn the various methods used for slinging and crane signals.
To ensure the participants have the skills and knowledge required to operate lorry mounted crane’s safely and efficiently and to take 3 assessments, theoretical pre shift and practical test. The practical test will follow the NPORS guidelines or an appropriate test devised to incorporate the operational use of the lorry mounted crane within the trainees working environment (in-house). The practical test will be decided prior to the commencement of the course depending on a site survey or information given by the company requiring training.
