Dedicated Tutor Support - You are not alone

Tutor support is available from our dedicated Diploma team. They are all chartered consultants, experienced practitioners, NEBOSH examiners with training qualifications. They will provide feedback, answer questions you have via email within 48 hours.

Exam Preparation

Every element uses a bank of NEBOSH questions and recommended answers to prepare you thoroughly for the exam with tutor feedback. Diploma exams take place in January & July.

Entry Requirements

It is strongly recommended that delegates hold the NEBOSH National General Certificate, the NEBOSH International General Certificate, NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety & Health or equivalent level 3 qualification. If delegates do not have a level 3 qualification we will expect them to attend an interview with a tutor. This will have cost implications.

Who the Course is For?

The National Diploma is designed for individuals who want to progress their career in health & safety & develop more in-depth knowledge & skills aiming to become health & safety practitioners. Learning Outcomes After successfully completing the course the delegate will:

  • Gain GradIOSH designator letters can be used once enrolment for a period of Initial Professional Development (IPD) is completed.
  • Attain CMIOSH - chartered status is gained after successful completion of a minimum of 2 years of Initial Professional Development during which they will develop a skills based portfolio and undertake a professional review interview, subject to approval by the Privy Council.
  • Be able to provide detailed advice for health & safety issues in line with current legislation & HSE guidance.
  • Be able to assist the organisation in continual health & safety management and control measures.
  • Have a broad range of detailed knowledge & the application of key health & safety issues.

Assessment System

The assessment consists of three 3-hour exams for Units A, B & C & a workplace-based assignment for Unit D. All are set & marked by NEBOSH.
